MACDONALD FINISHES 2ND IN STATE C.C.MEET. RCS BOYS TEAM 7TH.

CIF STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Redwood Christian finished in the top ten in the state -- 7th this year -- for the second year in a row, with the top five averaging 22 seconds faster than last year.  Josh MacDonald finished 2nd individually in 15:51 -- the highest place and best mark in school history.  Meanwhile Wayne Smith scared the living daylights out of his goal -- All-State honors -- before falling short by just one second.  He finished 11th.  Jacob Huemoeller rose to the occasion, posting the 8th highest best mark ever by a Redwood runner.  Senior Jacob Swanson continued his third year of improvement, and the game Alex Mattson helped his team despite missing missing two months of training due to a knee injury.  Freshman Zach Mattson and sophomore Chris Davis gained valuable experience by rounding out Redwood's squad at this championship event.
