That runner was later doubled off base allowing Posey to face the minimum amount of hitters through 5 innings. The game was called after 5 innings due to the 10 run rule.
In the second game of the series on Thursday 4/22 A.J. Vanegas matched Posey's performance with a no hit performance of his own through 5 innings. Vanegas also walked the leadoff and second hitter but both runners were thrown out by catcher Josh Montenegro allowing Vanegas to also face the minimum number of batters through 5 innings. Vanegas had 11 K's in the game with just two walks.
The offense was lead by a 3 for 4 performance by Michael Giltner.
